The Casper Area Transit Team
As our community grows, our transit network must evolve to meet the changing needs of residents and businesses. In other words, we need more than single occupancy cars. Our Casper Area LINK and Casper Area ASSIST service provides low-cost public transit on fixed routes as well as door-to-door services. Subsidies are available to riders who qualify based on income. Our bus routes change, so please check route news regularly. Payment must be in made in exact change or check as our drivers do not carry change.

Transit Employee Appreciation Day 2025

Casper Area Transit Recognizes Transit Employees on Tuesday, March 18, 2025

CASPER, WY – March 11, 2025 – Casper Area Transit, operated by the City of Casper, announces that it will observe National Transit Employee Appreciation Day on Tuesday, March 18, 2025.

National Transit Employee Appreciation Day is an event traditionally observed on March 18th when in 1662, the first “Five Penny Coaches” bus line was established in Paris, France. On this day, we celebrate and recognize the historical significance of public transit employees around the world and recognize the essential service they provide.

No matter the challenge—weather, traffic, or whatever may come—Casper Area Transit staff strive to provide excellent customer service to our customers on a daily basis. These dedicated, hardworking employees care about their riders and take their job of providing an affordable, reliable, and safe commuting experience seriously. This is your opportunity to say, “Thank You!” Our bus drivers, dispatchers, and administrative staff are the lifeline for many of our riders and without them, many would have a difficult time getting to work, medical appointments, and numerous other activities each day.

How can you thank your transit drivers, dispatchers, or administrative staff?

  • Bring a card or personal note and hand it to your driver or bring by the office
  • Say “good morning” or “good afternoon” when getting on or off the bus
  • A simple “thank you” goes a long way

Please say thanks to your transit drivers this March 18th and every day of the year!
